as sad as it is he probably isn't. There are alot more people out there than one would think who have no clue how to ride. Especially big touring bikes. Almost everything is easier and way more forgiving on a smaller size and weight motorcycle. Bad habits will bite you if you arent careful. Some people also believe that if they rode bikes as a kid in the 60s or 70s and stopped, they can hop back on a 800lb bike and not need any refresher in skills. Hell i practice slow maneuvers and emergency braking EVERY spring.

A few years ago I saw a guy riding a small Jap bike around town. I was behind him,as he made a left turn onto another street-without leaning the bike ONE BIT!
