Headlights and spot lights not working

My 07 had a similar issue and it turned out to be a loose connection at the ignition switch, the only symptom was the lights would not come on, bike started okay. I would check the switch after a good load test with the light plugged in as recommended above.

Most total headlight or spotlight failures are caused by a bad component like a fuse, relay, or module. Wiring problems can also cause both headlights to stop working. The most common cause is a burned-out bulb or a problem with the high beam switch or relay. In order to fix it, usually, you will need to replace the bulb, switch, or relay.

Wow, you really went out on a limb with that diagnosis.. The failure was caused by either wiring, switch, relay, burned out bulb.

And it is a 2 year old post.

Most total headlight or spotlight failures are caused by a bad component like a fuse, relay, or module. Wiring problems can also cause both headlights to stop working. Of course, if you can afford it, it would be a good idea to get new LED OEM headlights and move forward. This might cost you something extra, but at least you can fix the problem in less time and be able to use it.
