People say you can't fix a problem with oil, and that's probably true. But you can mask noise with it.
When it comes to noise, as a rule dino oil is always quieter than syn. My personal choice is Spectro 25-60 dino.... when it comes to noise nothing comes close. The worst I've tried is Mobil 1 V-Twin 20-50... again, nothing else comes close.
I won't get into an argument.... in my quest to stop the top end tapping I tried a LOT of oils, I know what works.

Panzerfaust, I listened to your vid and yours most definitely sounds like a primary that is so tight it is ready to break. Mine doesn't sound anything like that. I would go into your primary and check the tension. You can do that through the inspection plate on the primary. That being said, if your chain has the proper slack, you could have a bearing going on that side.
