Thank you!
I literally went to add a simple sentence to my original post about my Fat Boy having Cholos and the other bikes having simple fishtail extentions and all hell broke loose!!!
Story of my life!

Fishtails are all about that sound. Nothing sounds like'em. Stuff a baffle in them and they perform like any other true dual system. I think the hy way cruising noise comes down to length. The longer they are the less they buzz your ears..... All other things being the same. I've put them on pretty much every bike I own. I'm currently running 36 inchers with no baffle and a stock headpipe with a Cat. Best combo I have ever created in terms of sound and ridability.
And, they only cost me $170 shipped!
I would like to know more about that set up for $170... I have an 07 ultra classic that I am thinking about going that route.
Bassani true duals and Bassani fishtails. Best mod I ever made to my RKC, other than the Mustang seat. I went for the baffled tails, which was a good choice. They're plenty loud without being painfully loud or obnoxious and sound just right at idle or wot. The baffle is just a flow through waffled wall of about 8" long near the mid section of the tails that breaks up the flow more than redirects it thru a baffling system. Bike runs great with this system. there is a brief period of learning to walk around them and not bang your shin on the tails though. but after a couple of whacks you'll be there.

They do bite. And they have sharp teeth. I just picked up my King about a month ago. It came with Sampson cholo 39's. They sound good at idle and wot. Cruising they sound a little high pitched for my liking. I cant comment on performance since I was previously on a 15 Street Glide with a Fat Cat and tuned. Dropping down to the 88 and different gearing is a big difference.
I have Cobra headers, which have a 2.5 in heat shield, so I matched up a set of Python Fishtails, also 2.5 ino get a seamless look.
I like the way it came out...
