I have a 07 Street GLide and just have the Thunderheader. No air cleaner, no remap. runnin a air cleaner and remap of some sort will let my engine breath better and run not as hot, is that right?

SoCal is right. The Stage 1 will get you calibrated for the new pipes and AC, but won't likely help with the heat. As for EFI mods over and above Stage 1, it doesn't matter if you use a PCIII, T'Max, SERT, or whatever as long as you control the A/F ratio--so pick based on your requirements. All have their own set of virtues and vices.
There is no need to do the Stage 1 if you don't change the AC, but upgrading the AC will give you a meaningful boost in power. Doing that requires a remap of some sort, either Stage 1 or one of the above options.
And don't forget the oil cooler. Before i installed my cooler i had the stage 1 done using the fuelpak and the bike was still running in the 230 range. This was better than stock but not cool enough for me. After I added the cooler to the stage 1 it runs in the 210 to 215 range.
OK cool. Ive been talking to a lot of people out there as well as this site about what else I should do. I think I'll do a stage 1 as well as a PCIII maybe. Thanks again to all responding!!
Stage 1 and a PC111 dropped my oil temp almost 20 degrees. PC111 also picked up some horsepower and torque. Not much but enough. Also bike ran smoother at 2000 rpm. 2006 FLHXI

I usually bring up the importance of an oil cooler but didnt' think of it earlier. Lately, I've been running 180-195° while moving >40mph, climbing to maybe 210° in traffic. I tweaked my map recently after hitting 230° in heavy traffic (5 miles of it) one hot day three weeks ago, and although the temps went down the mileage did also, but not that much. I've decided to add a multi-function hub with map switch to my PCIII so I can run a lean map most of the time, a rich version when traffic slows to a crawl, and select either at the flip of a switch. That should be in around Tuesday and I'll report back on it after it's installed and tested.
