Wondering if there is a cheaper pump for for my shocks other than the 40$ one from Harley. I don't mind spending the $ on it if it is the best one, but it always seems there is a substantially cheaper version somewhere that works just as well. Thanks in advance for any help. Be Safe.
you can use a bicycle pump but it doesnt have the built in guage.
spend the 40$...how much else have you spend on chrome....HMMMMMM!
exactly what i thought...
You will not regret it. best 40$ you can spend other than the service manual
End up saving anywhere from $5 to $15 bucks generally- depending on what one you buy. Average price is about $27.99+5.00 for s/h=33 bucks...compare that to the dealership at $40+tax and having it instantly....
I like my ebay pump just fine. Don't know that I need an HD one just to pump some air into my shocks...I feel its ok to save $$$ on this one.
just another... "buy the HD one", it's small, works really well and isn't much in the grand scheme of things. My favorite part is it doesn't bleed back the air when you disconnect it.
I've owned my HD pump since 1996. Cost me less than 4 bucks a year.......maybe less than that....might have paid $30 bucks for it back then. And have saved the day for a few bagger friends that won't spring for one and carry on the road.
What they said! Just picked it up a couple weeks back and it is well worth the money. It was smaller than I thought it would be as well. It's in my saddlebag from now on. Not worth fighting theold process ofairing them up and then checking the pressure with a guage and losing pressure.
