I've noticed all posts with "dealers around here," have no location. Hmmmmm! I was in Buffalo a couple weeks ago, at the new Orchard Park HD location. The salesman wouldn't even give me the time of day, WTF ...I guess they're making out well???
Here in NOVA, advertised "deals" on Sportsters and Dynas - but nothing on Softails or Tourers, yet. Closest thing to deal possibilities won't come up until 08's are out, and then I don't think there will be too much dealing.
Where did the $2K plusoff MSRP take place, please? It will be interesting to see who posts prices with dealers. I couldn't find anything on the Lakeshore HD deals on their web-site, but that's not unusual. Anyone .... deals in NOVA?????
I think it is different in all areas because of demand. Where I'm at they won't deal that much, because they still have high demand. Everytime you go to the dealer most of the new bikes are sold and you need to order.
Each area is seems to be different and inventory levels have a lot to do with it. MSRP is pretty standard in N. FL the dealing seems to be on freight and Dealer Prep which I will NOT pay. Ultra's have been pretty scarce around here except for the special quarterly bright green and all white, couple of those guys on floor for long time.
Why not go for $5000.00 off of MSRP? They are gonna throw your A$$ out anyway once you make such a ridiculous offer! ARE YOU GUYS FOR REAL?
I don't think an offer of 3k off msrp is that far out of line. I paid 22,500 for my 07 ultra at the end of Aug 2006. This is the out the door price, taxes, title, and plate transfer.Try an older well established dealer that does not have a brand new fancy building. They don't have the high overhead to deal with. The 08's are on there way so a better deal is possible.
Zylstra HD in Ames, IA has been advertising "free" $2000 gift card with purchase of 06-07 big Twins - don't know the details. They have dealers in MN and IL too I believe. Of course a $ 2000 gift card costs them about half that.
