I installed a eBay trucklight eBay knock off the other day for $40 shipped an the 14 up street glide headlight adapter for $10. it says LX7 is the brand an
TG-A0301 is the part number 7" CREE headlight....lens an housing quality looked great to me...it fit the 2014 street glide perfect. I turned the key on to make sure it worked before putting the screws back in an it didn't come on...I wired the black ground off the headlight to the black ground off the connector an it worked. beam is bright an well focused....nice pattern with no stray light all over the road. IF it lasts a while it will be a steal...I highly recommend it.
poor quality pic but I just got home from a back country road ride to try it out.
I tried authentic daymakers in 2009, but since have used Truck Lights. (Kuryakyn re-packages them and sells for more).
I've never had one fail, and the low beam stays on when you use high beam which works great.
To me, the picture of a head light turned on is useless. The key is the beam shape. A crisp top cut off line on low beam is essential, especially with the very bright lights. If a headlight just makes a bright splat of light, it will either do you no good or blind oncoming drivers. Neither result is desirable.
bsom...that was a pleasant surprise with this light...from what I read you lose that with the cheapies....this one has a nice clean line with a bright spot right in the middle near the top of the line.
