I have my bike insured for replacement value, cost a tad more, and not all insurance companies do it, but if it gets stolen, or totaled, I have insurance to replace with new bike
Cajun, I'd really really like to see some pics of this bike you're so worried about. I have never seen a bike that couldn't be replaced by an insurance check.
Hdbob2006, if the insurance cheque would cover what I have into it I wouldn't mind. up here in Ontario, my experience with vehicle loss is no where near what one has into it even with receipts. I want to know if my bike is being moved. I want to find the ***** that trys to move it or does. I asked a question on here about tracking devices. I don't anilyse your ride or decisions on your bike, why questing mine? Don't mean to be a jerk on this but my motives for buying a tracker shouldn't be slammed everyone has their reasons for doing what they do with their rides.

I use the rever rlink. It automatically tracks your rides, but more importantly it uses its own Sim card to use cell networks for GPS tracking. If the bike gets stolen, you can activate this mode which provides you a website to share with law enforcement to track the location of your bike. Plus, you receive text messages regarding your bike if it moves or falls or if anybody is messing with it when you're not near your bike.
I got a 15% discount off my insurance premium as well
