You might want to rethink a thunderheader for low end torque. Do a search for some dyno sheets.

Anything with something loud in its name is not likely to be very quiet! My SuperMeg is just great, a good compromise between neighbour friendly, yet sporty when opened up, plus wonderful smooth running.

Heres another question. And I hate doing formula and math. But anyway. If I put a 30 tooth front pully on and the rear is 70 tooth. What size belt or how many tooth belt do I use. Or can I use the stock 139 tooth belt. I been researching this and cant get a straight answer.

S&S 510G (gear driven), 2 into 1 exhaust, proper tune.

There are a number of problems here. The 574 is way too much cam for a 95 with flat top pistons. The CCP is likely way low. TDs are not conducive to low end torque on baggers. I wouldn't use the SnS 510 cam as it has way too much exhaust duration (255 deg) and can have issues with exhaust reversion on the 06 heads if you are using them. They do work OK on early heads with proper exhaust porting. I would go with the 48 as mentioned. Even some of the newer SnS cams (SnS 509?) are good. Andrews 26? If you like the TD look and want to stay with them, Khromewerks makes a not 2-1-2 pipe that gives a good power band. The Fatcat with quiet baffle is another good pipe for low end torque. It doesn't give the peak tq of other pipes but delivers a nice flat power band. Scott can point you in the right direction.

When did the early TC heads change? I thought the design was the same from 1999/200 - 2006?

The head castings were the same until 2006. They changed in 2006. The 2005 heads were the same as previous castings but used the valves, guides and springs from the 2006-up heads.

My bike is older than yours and a bit of a bitsa, however when I swapped from 32T to 30T I found I couldn't make my stock 139T belt work, as the axle wouldn't go far enough back in the swingarm. I've read of some members lengthening the slots, but that looks like it would require taking out a lot of metal. I found a one tooth shorter belt, IIRC from a Sportster, although I use 1 1/4" wide belts, not the later narrower ones. The axle sits in a similar location in the s/a as before the mods.
