Ceramic Paint coating
Regarding your question, I just returned from SEMA (specialty equipment and manufacturers association) in Las Vegas. Two companies (perhaps more) have come out with a NEW ceramic spray wax, Griot's Garage (Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax) and Mequiars (Ceramic Detailer). Easy on and easy off. I applied the Griot's product to my '16 Stingray and the other, Mequiar's to my '19 Street Glide Special (black). Both were easy to apply and extremely easy to remove with a microfiber towel.
Both products provided a very nice shine and a smooth silky touch. However, since I just applied these two products yesterday, I'm not sure how long they will last. The company spokesperson stated: 6 - 9 months. We will see...
My personal thoughts - try a variety of products and use what you like best.

PS - There are so many products on the market from waxes to detailers to ceramics to nothing sticks to me to whatever. Good luck.
Not sure if my first post made it through - sorry for this repeat.
I recently returned from SEMA in Las Vegas and two companies presented their new ceramic "waxes". Griot's Garage - Ceramic 3 in 1 Wax and Meguiar's Ceramic Detailer. I picked up two samples and applied Griot's to my C7 and the Meguiar's to my '19 Street Glide Special (black). Both were very easy to apply and super easy to remove. Essentially, wipe on and wipe off. Both vehicle's surfaces were already clean.
I am not sure how long they will last (6 - 9 months). However, because both were easy to apply, applying them in the near future is a no brainer.
Not sure how much they will cost...probably competitively priced.

Can the motor be ceramic coated?
