Default Adapter Tour Pak

Got a Electra Glide FLHTP -11. I'm going to install a Tour-Pak 54177-10 on the rear mounting plate that has air pressure reservoir. My question is, do I need some kind of adapter for easy removal in case I don't need the Tour-Pak?(Art.no if possible or pics) If not, is there a easy way to install the Tour-Pak with I guess some kind of rubber damper. Perhaps someone has some pics.

I have a chopped tour-pak on my 2013 RK Police model. Because the bags open out it was necessary to raise the pak to clear. Used aluminum bar stock for the spacer.

Thanks, do you by chance have a close-up pic from rear showing the aluminum spacer?

Depending on how much you need to clear there are many options. Put 2014 bags on a 2013 electra glide, opening the lid was just clearing. So I picked up some 1/4 plastic sheeting from mcmaster-carr pretty cheap. Cut a couple pieces to match then double sided tape them in place so that I could drill holes to match the mounting points. The plastic comes in all kinds of thicknesses/widths and is much lighter/cheaper than aluminum. But sometimes you just use what you have on hand.

If you want to make it quick disconnect you would need another rack, disconnect mounting hardware and remount the air reservoir or go with the coil seat spring if you are using the police seat. And the tour pack would still need spaced up. Or just unbolt it if you want to remove it.

Nothing special just hollow square aluminum tubing. The pak has two raised areas underneath that it sits on where the bolts go thru . With the tubing as a spacer longer than stock bolts are needed. The police model rack that held the radio did not line up to the mounting position of the pak so a steel plate was used as an adapter. The plate mounts to the rack and the pak to the plate.
