These are question I have regarding the 2020 Road Glide Limited I have on order.
I would appreciate if anyone can explain how the Boom Audio 30K Bluetooth Helmet Headset and the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) handles the push-to-talk (PTT) aspect of the H-D CB radio kit while simultaneously talking via Bluetooth and/or MESH and meanwhile listening to Boom Box GTS Infotainment music from either satellite radio, FM radio, or Apple CarPlay.
Im guessing that when the PTT button on the handle bar (thats where it is, right?) is depressed to transmit on the CB radio, the voice-activated feature of the Bluetooth/MESH systems are overridden, so you dont broadcast over all all three methods.
Or is the Bluetooth/MESH systems inactive when the CB radio is being used, and vice versa?
Does the music shut off or fade low when someone talks to you via CB/Bluetooth/MESH?
I'm not positive on the new GTS but I'll assume it works the same way as the first generation one. When you have both intercom and CB "on", when PTT is pressed you'll transmit on both CB and intercom so your rider will also hear what you're saying over the CB. Output will be determined by your selection in the audio set up menu. Your options there are headset or speaker for music, intercom and CB and are independent of one another. Bluetooth will work the same way when connected through the WHIM.
