I have a 2013 and I'm also one of those that bought several shields before buying the madstad. Madstad works. The others were only tolerable.

Madstad, hands down.

Yes, I know some guys don't like the looks. But, imo, it's an absolute perfect stylistic match for the shape of the RG fairing. And, it works better than any other one I demoed or rode.

Bought my 13 RGU new and have tolerated the buffeting for years with different windshields. Finally gave in and bought a Madstad last week. Should have bought it to start with 6 years ago. No buffeting, minimal wind noise and I can hear the stock radio just fine now too.

THANKS, IdahoHacker, for the Post and Pictures

Mind if I ask what Tint that is ?? Dark, Medium, etc.
Also what size? (12, 214, 16" etc) I'm 6'

Madstad has a 10% discount right now, for a few days, I'm trying to pull the trigger.

If you are getting buffeting, try this. Next time you experience the buffeting, take your left arm and hold horizontally across your chest. If this reduces the buffeting, the wind is coming from below your fairing or windshield. I have a Street Glide and had this issue.... a set of ugly fangs took care of that. Don't care for the looks of the fork deflectors, but they eliminate the head shake and buffeting. I have seen other products out that claim the same thing....redirecting the wind flow from below the fairing area.....

Thanks for the wind test.
as yet, I cannot find Fork mounted fangs for a 15/16 Road Glide. That surprises me. I can't believe it's that much different.

I sold the bike a year ago, but I'll try to remember the details. The tint was the medium gray. As I recall, the light gray was almost clear, and the darker one was too dark. The medium was just right...enough color to look good, but you could still look through it if you wanted to.
I don't remember the height, but I'm barely 5'9". For some reason the 11" is sticking in my mind, but I can't be sure. Or maybe the 13. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Trust me, you'll love it!

I've got a '13 RGU, came with wind deflectors mount to the engine guard just below and on either side of the gas tank. I took them off one and the buffeting was so bad I couldn't believe it, put them back on and the turbulence was gone from behind the fairing. HD p/n 57000063 and according to HD P&A these will fit your '11 RGU.
