Default iPhone Mount Question

Did you mount your iPhone on the left or right side?
I'm thinking left only because I won't have to take my hand off the throttle.
I'll mostly be using it to control my GoPro.

Left, for the throttle reason, except on long trips where I need to keep it plugged in to stay charged. USB port is in the little compartment on the right and I don't want cables spanning the width of the bars,

If you're worried about taking your hand off the throttle to mess with your iPhone that's controlling your GoPro, that means you're moving, right?

You don't miss a trick, do you?

Could also want the phone on the clutch side to mess with when stopped with the brake lever engaged.

Phone on throttle side.
Cruise control engaged when I touch phone while moving - if I can't engage cruise control I'm probably not in a situation to be jacking with my phone. (save any anti-phone sentiment for another person)
Clutch hand operates clutch and allows me to remain in-gear at stops.
Right foot on rear brake lever when stopped.

Well, you know, it's just that we complain so much about cagers being distracted while talking or texting on their phones, yet here we are messing with our iPhones and GoPros while going 65+MPH and 95 feet-per-second on a motorcycle. No, I'm not judging...I'm just sayin'.

The only action I would take with the phone as far as the gopro goes is to start and stop recording.
As far as leaving in gear while at stops, it's unnecessary wear on your throw out bearing. After the traffic behind me comes to a stop, I'm in neutral and using the front brake.
And as far as being distracted by the phone, any of you who have a tourer can get way more distracted by having the stereo on and or messing with your Boom system.
Next thing you're gonna tell me is that you never mess with your Boom system while moving. It might have hand controls, but you're still going to look down at the screen.
Don't get me wrong, I think distracted driving is dangerous whether you're on 4 or 2 wheels.

I think the new iOS has shortcuts you can create to start the GoPro recording and stop it. So just tap on the shortcut.

Might want to play with it if you can open the GoPro app and control the recordings in the iOS shortcuts.

I use this on the left control housing. Clean and simple. Use a USB adapter in the cig lighter hole. Cable is on the same side as the phone.
