Engine bolts. Anyone ever put together a list of the bolts on a 103? Like size, number etc? Maybe a stupid question but I’d like to start compiling some stainless bolts over the winter and changing them out. Thanks

Just a word of caution when using S.S. fasteners. They are considerably weaker than grade 5 bolts and can't take the same torque as some of your O.E.M. bolts

Beat me to it...
If you want pretty fasteners, I'd suggest buying the OEM chrome kit from HD. Still grade 5, just chromed tops.
Stainless fasteners aren't the same as steel fasteners.

If you get a Harley service manual for your bike, and then one of the above parts manuals.... you will have all the info you want..
The parts manual has a "Hardware list" in the back, that references every screw/bolt that is shown with a part number, in the service manual. The Hardware list gives the type/size/thread pitch/length.....

I was going to say that too. I didn't know that until I saw it on another thread a few years back. That really comes in handy.
Alloy bolts sells a whole engine kit...sure you can compile a list, go to multiple stores looking for the different sizes but my time is my most valuable commodity. If the stainless isn't as strong as the stock bolts none of these bolts are considered critical fasteners. The torque specs on the cam cover and primary for example are pretty low...pretty sure the engineers got together with the liability lawyers and made sure the stainless bolts would be strong enough to keep your engine covers from flying off and killing innocent women and children. Lol. Now if your talking engine mounting hardware that's a different story.
