from the what looks like the loom around the clutch cable
under the right front floor board. This is on my 06 Road Glide
with 27k miles. Has any one else had this problem with theirs?
The leak so far is very small but enough to make me nutz.
I had a similar thing this weekend, a drop or 2 on the ground, after the engine was hot. And yesterday when I got home from work. I was determined to find the source, turned out the oil filter(non-HD) that had been on for roughly 1500 miles was seeping. Replaced it with a new one, cleaned every dab of oiley mess around, and under the motor. Good as new.
Yep there was a thread on it here about a week ago.
Mines not dripping yet but am getting a film on the fitting.
Will keep an eye on it and have warranty fix it if it starts dripping.
yep noticed it almost new(wet look around clutch cable)then at about 5k spit a drop now and then . at 6k left a 2 inch puddle in garage over night. looked at sm and the replacement job is a pita unless your experienced with replaceing cable. done under warrenty. zero $.
now have the same sort of thing goin on whereengine/tranny meet. one day a drop next dayok,,,,ect
workin on my 3rd warrenty issuebut love the bike and would buy it again in a heartbeat!!!
There must have been a run of defective clutch cable o-rings. We've seen a couple now too. Clutch cable needs replaced since the seal in part of the cable (I believe).
Got a leak coming from what appears to be the gasket under the transmission cover. Bike goes to shop on Firday. I am hopping it is a warranty item, if not, I know what I will be doing this weekend.
