Spark Plug Help Please

I have an '07 Ultra and have not bought a service manual yet and the information I need is not in the owner's manual. Can someone give me the gap? I usually hand tighten the plug and go a 1/4 turn but is there an in/lb or an nm torque setting? Yes I promise I will go out and buy the manual. I searched throught the diy forum and can't find this specific information.

I think the Plug gap info is in your owners manual best I remember.

I have an '07 RK Classic.

.038 - .043 gap, 14-18 ft lbs. torque on plug 6R12. Probably same for you on 96 ci.

Always gap mine to .040, and torque to 18 ft lbs. they're close to that gap out of the box, but you still need to check and tweak as needed.

I gap mine at .040 as well. Make sure you use some thread anti-seize as well.

If the 96 in. engine takes the same plug as a 88 in. engine in the softtails, then you can use Autolite 4164 from Checkers and save yourself some bucks. The guy at the dealers says they are the same, but all the looking and hum hawing he did I'm not too sure he knew.
