installed cruise control on my 07 sg over the weekend. tested it and IT WORKS! great mod. just one slight glitch....i can't figure out where and how that e clip is supposed go on the cruise cable. anyone have any good tips?
Im at work so cant read cc instruction but if your talkin about the clip under the frame by the seat? mine did not fit/hold cable very well and thought about how useless it was and why bother. but then added the adjustable back rest and that had a real bolt down clamp behind the adjuster switch on frame that held it rock solid. hope this helps
Yes, it's a B1TCH to get that in there. It is also quite easy to loose that little f'er! uhhh.... so I hear....
I use a telescoping antenna w/a magnet on the end. Stand the clip up, on the magnet and carefully try to get it to clip on. You may need to use a 2nd little screw driver to guide it into place.
The good news is that you can buy a pack of those e-clips @ HomeDepot... uhhh..... so I hear.
but clip on where? anyone got a pic of where that baby should go and how to get there?
I could take a shot of the assembled cable tomorrow as it attaches to the module. It looks like it does in Fig. 11 in the instructions, and as I recall you place the ball of the cable in the existing slot in the throttle mechanism, then slip the plastic cover over the whole assembly. IIRC, it wasn't difficult to attach, and was not one of the issues that made this a PITA install.
oh that clipI to found it easy to install w/needle nose pliers. If I remember currectly it just locked the cable end down were the cablewirecome out and goesto the induction module?
