Now you'll have to figure out "how many clips" to use...............
Anything more than one will be too stiff. At least that is my take on it anyway. The mono tubes are better than stock for certain but I am sure you can do better but most options get pricey.

I had the progressive monotubes and I thought they were much better than stock. Positives are better handling, reduced dive when braking, cost and a lifetime warranty. I sent mine in after 75,000 miles and they replaced them with a brand new set in the box. Can't ask for better customer service than that. I sold that set to someone on this forum for half the price of new and I'm sure he will feel the same positives I experienced.
I have about that many on mine. What made you replace them?
I began noticing that small bumps felt harsher / different than I remembered when they were new. Ohlins were not available when I had the mono-tubes installed and I wanted to upgrade thanks to a nice bonus received by my employer. Once the tubes were removed I simply pushed down on each one individually and noticed quite a difference between the two. I called Progressive and they said send them in along with the sales receipt and a month later came a brand new set in the box.

I'm not looking to go with Legend Axeo's not only because of the expense involved but I was told although they are upgrade over Progressives they are better suited for an aggressive rider which I am not.
.
Hope the progressives work out for you , but whoever told you that this is full of crap. Sure they work well for aggressive riding but they work just as well for folks like me that just want a better ride. Much better than stock and the Ricor's that I had installed.
I guess my real question now is are the mono tubes worth $300 more than the spring kit? Will I notice that much difference between the two?
does anyone have experience with the spring kit on a bagger?
I had the Prog. cartridges for 5,000 miles or so. I hated the stiff ride. Took them out and replaced with the Prog. springs. Happy for the last 25,000 miles.
I had the Progressive mono tubes installed. The Indy that installed them suggested no spacers. I only have about 100 miles on them so far but I think they are much better than stock springs. They are stiffer than stock but it's a good stiff. the bumps are flattened out and at this point I am very happy with the purchase.
