I mounted oem harley passing lamps on my 19 streetglide....now my fork deflectors won't fit. I see some possibilities as far as maybe trimming the deflectors a bit or elongating the mount holes on the deflectors maybe. Wondering if anyone else had this issue and solved it.
2019 streetglide harley oem lights and deflectors.
Definitely feel the difference the wind deflectors made now that they are off.
There is a fella on the forum that trimmed the top down to the contour of the light and then powder coated them black . Looked pretty good , not sure what they would look like if they were left chrome .
I took my small 4" grinder and marked out my fang and made as small a cut as I could. It is a square cut, not rounded, but it sits just a bit behind the fuller portion of the turn signal, so from front it's not as noticable. It took a few minutes to figure where to cut, but being slow and careful, I think it came out well. Have clearance. And after 5-6 years, no issues with appearance.

I had the same issue when I installed passing lamps on my SG. My first approach was to drill a new hole and attach them using only one bolt with a little silicone for extra protection. This worked. I never trusted myself to attempt any reshaping work as I figured I'd just destroy the lowers.
However, I found a company called "JES Customs" that, among other things, makes chrome or black powder coated lowers that fit with no alteration. I now use theirs. I'd give them a look.
Chad.... I'll try to post pictures..... not sure how these will come out!!! But I have pic of front of bike and one of the right side rear of fang. Let me know if you have questions.
