Nav System Freezes??!!

Nav System Freezes??!!
I'm on a 2017 Road Glide Ultra. I use the H-D Ride Planning software and have had mostly good luck using it with the bike's nav system.
But- every now and then, like today, it drives me crazy. I create a route with H-D Ride Planner, use plenty of Way Points, (50-60), I download the GPX file to a USB stick, then upload the file into the nav system No problem. When I go back to start the route, when I press the START button, the system freezes. The little pencil icon on the right flashes irregularly, and I can't do anything except a Privacy Reset.
Of course other times, it works fine. I've updated the system to the latest version right from the H-D web site, but this happens too often. Makes me nuts. Anyone else? Anyone have any ideas that don't involve weapons or liquor?

Yes, it was after the software update. But-- I found that I can load some of my other routes into the Nav and it runs OK. Although the manual says it can take up to 100 Way Points, I'm not sure that's accurate, at least with this model. I the route that screwed me up had 55 way points, which shouldn't be a problem, but all the other routes that work, had 40-45. I deleted a bunch of way points and it worked. I suppose that moving forward, I'll be extra cautious about putting in too many.
