I am installing a Red Shift 468 in my 2019 CVO Street Glide. My bike comes from the factory mostly blacked out except the pushrod covers are chrome. Should I stick with chrome pushrod covers or swap them out for black ones?
Since it is a CVO, I don't want to change the aesthetic that much but black pushrod covers might look cool. What do you guys think? Anyone with a similar bike that switched? Pictures?
It's not a CVO...but it's a 114 that I'm about to change. Just ordered the S&S Quikee in black. Keeping the lifter blocks in chrome and the cylinders/heads as depicted. Also throwing on an Arlen Ness monster sucker, cam cover, transmission side cover from their 10 gauge collection...pics in a week of my bike when it's done!
I don’t like to spend more than I need to when it comes to the looks department. But I also would use the stock tubes and upgrade my pushrods to Feuling Perfect fit push rods. I have never liked the idea of adding a possible failure point to a vehicle, and adjustable pushrods are just that in my eyes.
But as stated before, its your bike. Do what you want.
