That was done already. With exception of the accessories fuse, all read 12- 12.5 on one side, and 0 on the other.
The accessories fuse registers 12 on both sides.
As far as modifications, yes. Not to the wiring itself, but it was necessary on the switch, itself. The former owner had raked the front ( something I didn't know about until reassembly, and couldn't ask him about as he was dead), about 3°. Why? I'll never know. So, I went with a newer style switch system on the tank. Yes, properly mounted, and insulated. (Not my first rodeo on this stuff)
But, it was a used switch, and it may have been "used" for a reason. So, I'm beginning to think that this is the "culprit."
Both, I wanted to make sure the fuses were good and the system was working as it was supposed to.
The accessories side was the only one that wasn't.
I'm not "electrical expert", but do have a lot of experience in fixing these type systems, and I'm always careful.
this switch has given me problems since I got it, such as not connecting with everything when i turn it on, and i have to "wiggle " it slightly to make it turn everything on. That may be why i got it "used."

There you go. If you had provided this information in your first post, it may have helped diagnose your issue. 12 - 12.5 VDC is still a little low from a new battery.
If you charge the battery and get a voltage reading after it has set a couple of hours not hooked up what is the reading?
Additionally, you may have a voltage draw on your system if you can get readings on both sides of the Accessory switch. What additional accessories are there on the motorcycle?
No other changes were made to this.
As for a "wild goose chase", I'm doing my best to be "methodical" on this. I've done everything I've been asked to do so I can "zoom in" on the problem.
You have all helped me find MY mistake, and i thank you for your help.

So you have found and fixed the problem, why don't you enlighten us on what the issue is so in the future, someone with the same issue/mistake can correct it.
