Did the frame size, swing arm or dampening change on any of the TC year touring bikes? Did a search and can't find a answer.Figured someone here will know. Thanks in advance. Rick
Thats interesting I had progressive springs put in the front end of 05 ultra and the preload or something is wrong. When I roll the throttle off for a corner or a round a bout the front end bounces (starts to poggo). The dealer did it and the progressive springs he put in are to go in a softail standard, wide glide and a 06-07 FLHT. Wondered if the springs were wrong, preload wrong or fluid the wrong weight. There is something funny with the front end in the shocks or the front wheel is out of true or out of round. Tried to sping the wheel on a jack to look at the rim/tyre, but the brakes are binding too much to spin. I was interested to see there a difference in the front end from 05 to the current. Also wondering if I should strip the front end myself or a REAL mechanic and put in the progressive dampner rods or the 06 dampner rods to try and improve. There appears to be nothing different in the castings for the front fork legs according to the chrome part no. in the accessory book.
try shimming for more preload and use a 20wt fork oil....also, how many and how big are the holes in the damper end...need to be at least 6, 3/8" in diameter....also the Gold Valve Emulator is a much nicer piece than stock
Thanks for that I'm having to do the work and reaserch myself because the dealer has no idea and is telling me thats how they ride. I went to the shop that sold me the progressive 416 shocks to ask bout the gold valves and they told me they were no longer made and they were unable to get them. However the had one set of progressive dampner rods in stock
