Default Ignition relocation (dresser)

So I've looked all over online and although I see people talking about it, and I obviously see pictures of the switch and switch bracket, I've yet to see someone do it (on a touring bike).
I dont know if the pics I'm looking at are of a touring bike since they just show the side of the motor where the switch goes, and could be showing any type of bike.

I'm THINKING about relocating the ignition on my 2011 ultra to where the horn is, upgrading the horn and putting it behind my saddle bag, and using the current ignition area on my lower fairing cap for my air ride switch location. I would Fab up a blank to cover the existing hole, then dremel a hole for my air ride switch to set into.

. Now I've been reading these forums for a LONG time so let me just stop you before you start....
1. .BECAUSE I WANT TO
2. YES I REALIZE I FORFEIT THE LOCKING FORKS
C. no i dont want to put it on my dash like a softail
4. NO IM NOT TAKING IT TO A SHOP & HAVING THEM DO IT
E. YES IVE SEEN THE POSTS ON HERE BUT NONE OF THEM END WITH SOMEONE EXPLAINING HOW THEY DID IT, ONLY TALKING ABOUT WANTING TO DO IT
(Sorry, been surfing these forums forever and EVERYTIME someone asks a question you got one guy that show up to ask why would you do it, one guy that says you shouldnt do it and another guy who tells a story about his friend who did something which has zero do do with the question an OP posted.)

I'm aware several places sell the bracket, but my question is am I able to, and how would i (does anyone have a schematic) splice a bagger ignition into a round ignition like found on the dash of a softail so I can extend them down to the horn location and run THIS type of ignition?

I excited to see what you come up with. I'm a big fan of "Because I can" as a reason to do something custom. It makes the bike yours and who gives two ***** what the nay sayers say?
Please keep us posted. And pics, lots of pics

I’ll be watching as well. I found a plug and play kit that goes where the cigarette lighter is located but already have the bracket/switch like your wanting to do!

I'm just not sure if a 2011 ignition wiring can be adapted to fit the softail style ignition

im assuming this was done by now. It’s 3 wires, you’ll have to pull them back, they will be too long because they used to go all the way up to the top tree. You will cut them, you will attach them to the round switch where the horn used to be.

there’s nothing super majical about the FLH/T ignition up there other than it being combined with a fork lock. Mines been gone for long time.

you can have harley reprogrreprogr.computer to use a pin number. If you have your key flob. Mine doesn't have a security system i am going nwith a relocation kit. . Where my horn is now. .this is also keyless starting systems that works off their flob.
and yes people do get old bikers that buy a bike and take it apart to.make it their own.

I am contemplating the very same for my 2020 Streetglide, Pickard USA has the bracket and recommend a Dyna ignition switch to be used.
