Orded my 6.5 inch dark tint recurve for my FLHX on the 26th, received it on the first, 6 days later. Finally I am happy with a windshield, can see over it and the wind is about the same as the 9.5 inch POS HD windshield that the clarity was terrible.
heading out for 4 days in the morning to give it a real test. Plus it looks alot better with the shorter shield.
Same here. 6.5" dark tint recurve for FLHX ordered Monday, arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out. Plan on putting some miles on it Saturday to test it out. How did the 6.5" recurve look versus your original 4" H-D deflector?
Apparently they do have some shields already made up in stock. I inquired about a 9.5 inch recurve for my Ultra and was told they had some clear and gray tint on hand. I ordered and paid for it Tuesday, scheduled to be here tommorrow..
Picked up my '07 Ultra 8/31/06. Replaced the standard windshield with the 10". Works great. Cut down an old windshield to 8". Liked the sight lines. Didn't deflect the wind high enough (I'm 6' tall). Ordered the 8" Clearview with recurve thinking it will give me the sight lines of an 8" and wind deflection of a 9-10" windshield. Ordered Wednesday (8/1) scheduled to be delivered 8/9. Looking forward to trying it out.
Took the bike for a highway run last night. The 17" recurve Clearview shield
really does work. At 70 mph, no head buffeting problems, which I had with
the stock shield cut down to 17 1/2".
