Default changing from 1.0 to 1.25 bars & risers

The only stupid question is one not asked...I think I know the answer but wanted to ask anyway...

Will 2015+ risers fit older bikes?

2010 Road Glide...wanting to upgrade to newer 1.25 OEM RG bars. I think the change was in 2015? Everything seems to be 08-13 and then 15+...not sure what was going on in 14? Will newer 2015+ 1.25 risers fit the older triple trees? Is the mounting spacing the same?

I'm currently running 1.25 Monkey Bars internally wired by the PO...I've discovered that it was a "hack job" since the monkey bars are bent in a way that is not easy to run internal wires...and they cut the heated grip lead for the TGS so I've ordered a new one. Also the monkey bars are only 1.0 at the clamp so even more difficulty pulling wires.

I would just like to go with 2015+ RG bars since they appear to be basically the same dimensions as the monkey bars (rise, width, etc) but have nice smooth bends for easier pulling of wires.

I can't answer your question re the newer fitting the older, but...in 2014, there was no Road Glide. When HD introduced the Rushmore bikes in 2014, no updated Road Glide. The Rushmore Road Glide was introduced in 2015.

As an aside...IF the newer 1.25 mounting works, have a look at KST Kustoms. I did their 12" Pioneer bars which are part of the Vanguard series. These are 3 piece bars, fully adjustable, and crazy easy to internally wire.

OK, didn't know about skipping 2014. I thought the Rushmore thing was for the new engine in 2018?

But looks like I will be sourcing 2015+ bars and risers then...

I would still say you should confirm the 2015+ risers & bars will fit your bike...clamps, trim, etc.

2014+ the updated Rushmore bikes were introduced. I think the first M8 engine was introduced in 2017 as a 107 and the 114 for CVO's.

well it's really the newer risers that need to fit the older bikes. The bars will just go with the risers.

From assorted listings of 2015+ RG bars with tape measures in the pictures...they appear almost the same dimensionally as the Monkey Bars that were already on my bike.

Here's the answer you are looking for. The 2015 Streetglide runs 1"dia bars and risers like your 2010 Roadglide does while the 2015 Roadglide comes with 1.25"dia bars and risers.
A quick check on Ronnies HD parts microfische shows identical part numbers for the top fork tree on both the 2015 Streetglide and Roadglide models so regardless of which risers are used the distance between them is the same. Unless the newer bars interfere some how with your older fairing design (I doubt it) you should have no issues installing the newer design bars and risers on your older model. So many riders swap out the Roadglide bars that used bars and risers should be easy to find. Check out part #11 in both links below.

OK...guess I better be sure I'm getting RG risers and not "touring" risers. I had thought all the FLs went to the 1.25 bars?

Just curious, you are wanting the 2015+ RG bars because they are 1 1/4" or because you really like those RG bars?

All Harley risers are 3 1/2” center to center with the same bolt size and thread.

In a nut shell from my OP..."I would just like to go with 2015+ RG bars since they appear to be basically the same dimensions as the monkey bars (rise, width, etc) but have nice smooth bends for easier pulling of wires."
