Hopefully nobody is a sucker and pays that. You'll never recoup that money when you go to trade in. Imagine paying $5k over msrp then the supply chain issue is fixed in 2 years and you go to trade that in 4 or 5 years down the road. You'll lose your ***.
Inflation, supply chain issues and Geopolitical events are always transitory. Everything will get back to normal. Don't let the dealerships scare tactics let you think otherwise. And the housing market bubble will pop again as well and the house prices will come crashing back down. Just have patience.
I don't see a bubble bust because of the BABY BOOMERS. Their frickin rich and retiring at a fast pace and if they want it their going to pay the price because they can. Plus Canadians want their piece of the pie as well. Houses can't be built fast enough for these people here in arizona. People moving in by the DROVES with no let up in sight.

The bubble will burst. Not to offend anyone but the Baby Boomers are on the way out in the riding world soon. The younger Generation of riders aren't as frugal with their money either. Also once the pandemic subsidies and the chip and supply chain issues are fixed what will be the excuse to keep the prices inflated?
Does a cash offer really make a difference given that H-D make about 50% of their income on financing?
The conventional wisdom today is never even discuss how you're going to pay for it until you've made a deal on price. When you say you're a cash buyer you've just immediately taken away a big profit center, so they have to make as much as they can on the sale price.

Nope. The days of "cash is king" ended a while back. Nobody's impressed anymore if you stroll into the dealership flashing a big wad of hundred dollar bills. In fact now you can negotiate a lower price on the vehicle if you agree to finance at least some of the purchase price.
I went into my local dealership checking out the22 Road Glide Standard after checking out the website. I was expecting the prices to be a bit over MSRP but the dealership is asking $5000 over in my area. When I bought my Low Rider, the price wasnt that inflated but that was two years ago. I guess the demand is much higher on these and the Street Glides as well.
How are the prices in your area?
I wonder what the markup is on the new st models and cvos
FYI dealer markup @ msrp is 22 percent on bikes and HD pays dealers 2.5 hours for setup, this is fact I promise you. Dont let a dealer BS you, walk. Sure they deserve to make a profit but buyers dont deserve to get fuked over just sayin 👍
Most touring bikes are marked up 4500 to 5000 from what dealer pays to MSRP so they are making a nice profit before the bs fees
