Dam!! This has to be the problem then. I’ll have to redo the entire job I’m sure! Do you have a 2018 road king? This sucks! Lol! I might be able to pull just that harness out through the top hole by the grips. I didn’t tie the harnesses together so it is possible but… risky. If I damage something I’ll just have to do it all again I guess. I still have to verify it is wrong first. Oh man! Thanks for all your help everyone.
Oh sorry. You pulled the pins I see now. How did you do that. Did you pull your bars. Or did you just pull it out enough to get to the connections inside the bars. Mine are 16inch carlini gangsters. I’m not sure if that’s possible
Well that is exactly the problem!! Thank you so much. I really appreciate it! So I’ll prob just remove the bars and start over. Now!! Quick question for everyone. I broke that stupid little button on top of the left switch housing to flip through your odometer settings. Where can I buy one. Does Harley sell that button?
I was able to pull the wires through the top of the bars lots of extra wire on the kit, I put on 16" factory 47 bars. I used a paper clip with the end sharpened to get the pins out , there small and its a pain to get them out, Be patient . As for the button ,yes Harley sells them and there cheap, I had to replace mine also, Good luck
So yeah. Pulled the bars and the namz harness is pinned wrong. Super pissed!! Here’s what I don’t understand though if someone could help. At the bottom of the factory harnesses, left and right all end up being pinned 1,2,3. I suppose it doesn’t matter if they all have pins connected going up to the turn signal? Is that correct? Also, at the bottom where they plug in behind the headlight, you plug in the male connector with three wires but at the back of the female connector there are 4 wires coming out. Then they all run together and go under the tank from there. Why is ther 4?
So just to end this thread. I did talk with namz and they sent me new harnesses. Got the bars back on and all is good. If anyone has any questions about putting 16inch carlinis on a road king special I would love to help. Thanks to all!
Codes B2141 and B2146. I didnt check fuses though because because someone on here said it doesnt have fuses for the blinkers or an old school relay either. All controlled through one of the BCMs. I will look in there though just to be sure.
hi, I got the front left turn signal code as the light bulb stopped working. I since replaced it and the engine light and code persist. What do I do now to cancel it? Many thanks
