Said it has wiped out my AF tunes - which then reverts to the embedded "stock" tune and needs re-flashed
Kill switch is a very abrupt way of powering down / ignition switch is more graceful way
now un-wad your damn panties
Ghost
When you tune your bike you replace the stock tune, no going back. Astleast that is how it was.
How is cutting power with the kill switch or cutting power with the igniton different?
Gracefull shut down???? Electricity is fast.
Even though I don't think it matters. The ignition switch shuts everything off, wouldn't the kill switch be more "graceful" ? It is a 2 step process with kill then igntion.
Ahhh... the good old days; petcock's, priming, choke's, carb's and needles.... YAS! I can still remember two keys for your car, door and ignition... crazy!
And we've started a whole new argument. When cars had two keys, one was for both the doors and ignition (usually a square head for GM), the other (round head) was for the trunk.

Not on the multiple Chevys I had. Round to unlock, square to start.
As far as the 'graceful shut down', that's the funniest thing I've read in years!

Yeah, Ford was square for doors and ignition; round for trunk, glove box, console, and etc. The idea is, you have your storage compartment key separate from your vehicle access/operation key.

A graceful shutdown is when a computer is turned off by software function and the operating system (OS) is allowed to perform its tasks of safely shutting down processes and closing connections. A hard shutdown is when the computer is forcibly shut down by interruption of power.
from another source
graceful shutdown = powering down your computer
hard shutdown = yanking the cord out of the wall
