My first long distance trip
This forum has been a God send for tips and suggestions. I learned so much! Who would think that there is a product named Anti Monkey Butt Powder? lol. I didnt know.
Anyways, I packed like my wife, everything and kitchen sink. I know its probably too much but I want to be prepared. I have tire kit, small compressor, jumper pack, tools, snacks, water, rain gear, my 9mm, two pair of gloves, shut, I even packed factory gear shifter just in case Thrashin Supply one takes a **** lol.
Bought 8.5 inch windscreen, leaving 6.5 inch at home. I love that 8.5 KW screen! All buffering is gone. I also got soft lowers, seat pad and, per popular advice here, non-cotton underwear lol. Got my ear plugs too. Even taking moist wipes with me! Lol
I looked up my route weather and I might get into some rain in WV but thats ok.
Damn this is awesome! It will be very hard for me to fall asleep tonight.
I bought Insta360 camera and I am looking forward to take some cool footage, especially going through tunnels!
ETA:
I am planning on taking stops every 100 miles or so as suggested here. Really, I just want to sit back, soak in the trip and views, smell the trees and outside and clear my head. I am in no hurry.
Take care my dudes!

Wow this is so awesome. I notice things that I never seen driving through every year for past 6 years.
I got stuck in the rain from Cleveland to about 50 miles to Charleston. After that, smooth sailing.
There are some lessons learned which I will post later lol.
Ear plugs are godsend
Stopping every 100 miles to gas up or stretch is perfect
My gas efficiency went down on 2nd gas up. From 247 miles on full to 212.
I love this experience. I can see how people travel across the country.
Have to come up to GOTL and have a beer.
safe travels.
Anti Monkey Butt powder is the schizz! I used it whenever I was doing an IBA run... great for stopping the swamp ***!
