That linc to Pit Bull is dated 2018. I really don't think they currently manufacture motorcycle lifts as they once did.
It's strange, but it seems that when once there were a number of motorcycle lifts on the market...now I don't see any, except for Harbor Freight's China made ones. Is there no market for top quality motorcycle jacks anymore or am I missing something?
BTW.....my CC bank refunded my money for the J&S replacement bottle jack that I've been waiting 4+ months for but never was shipped.......all good now!
OTC Motorcycle Lifts. Michigan company. I've had mine for several years. No leaks, no leak-down, no issues at all. Around $250-$300 and worth every penny.
Thanks for that info.......but at the same time it demonstrates that while at one time (about 7-8 years ago) there were a larger number to choose from. I suppose IF I had to buy another one I'd go with the OTC and order from Amazon. (free shipping using Prime and a very flexible return policy....also hundreds less than J&S and best of all fast shipping...lol)
I might add: OTC makes this same lift for H-D...painted orange...and carrying the brand. Mine is the H-D unit and it lacks for nothing. I've had the bike up on it for multiple days while doing my own Stage 11 work and more recently pulling both wheels off for new tires. I use it when time to wash & polish wheels.
I can't fathom ordering a lift costing 2-3 times more, waiting many months and hearing nothing, then knowing the bottle jack will probably puke....and having to go through another period of gestation just to get a replacement part.

There are other ways of getting the J&S jack. Take me for example - I found one on Craigslist local to me a few years ago for either $150 or $200, I don't recall exactly. Not long after I got it the bottle jack puked. Found one on amazon for like $40 and it works great. I took the easy way to make it work and have no complaints.

Its not the same jack. Looks to me like the distance between the rails is much narrower on the OTC making it less stable.
I've had my J&S jack for over a decade. Same bottle jack.

Definitely an option, though many riders may prefer to buy new. They simply may not have the option to be patient and wait for a used lift if they have a pressing need today. I guess that's maybe the real crux of the matter. Wait forever on a new unit, or shop the used market as long as it takes if a J&S is the only acceptable lift. I'm definitely NOT down on the product because I know the design is superb, and I congratulate anyone who can locate and acquire one today.

I should have made a clearer statement above. OTC makes their particular lift for H-D as well as for the open market. It's definitely not the same as J&S, but it's definitely stable for sure. Mine has adeptly handled an Ultra Limited and now a Road Glide Limited with zero problems. I don't use the safety strap unless pulling a wheel.

If you are referring to the OTC Stinger line of tools, such as the lift, the Stinger line is just rebranded Asian items. There is a big difference between the traditional OTC items and the Stinger line.
