Default Creative fairing fix

Looking for a way to seal outer fairing to inner fairing even better since my inserts broke. The plastic around the inserts also broke so a new one wouldn’t work. I know I can drill holes all the way through the side holes for bolt and nut, but I’m looking for ideas for center hole. I do a lot of riding rain and shine, don’t need water seeping in and getting on wires. Any ideas would be great.

Nothing can stop water intrusion completely. What’s your bike? Shark nose or bat wing?

You said it was plastic, my 2008 road glide had plastic body parts. Not sure what year bike you have. If you have the broken off pieces this video should give you ideas.
Video is from Polyvance, which makes plastic nitrogen welders and airless plastic welders. Good library of videos and great products.
Here is a tab fix with an airless welder. You can use a soldering gun, screen door fix patch from the hardware store and some plastic from the fairing. Shave a strip off from the bottom between the forks, just scrape any paint off.
Good luck!

It's not that difficult to swap in a new inner fairing.

You did not specify what year your batwing fairing is. If it's prior to 2014, than the aftermarket is the way to go, and you could even swap into the double din and get yourself a new stereo while you're at it. Also, plastic repair, such as the video posted previously, is a good option that works well. I can't imagine being able to seal anything well without it being attached well to begin with.

He has an 02 based upon posts. Even that fairing swap isn’t the end of the world. Just more tedium..
