I have the DD on my 21 Road King. Couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had any problems with the sun (and I’m in Southern California). I am far sighted and could never read the gauges because they were too close/small. The digital gauges are so much clearer, they are actually useful. Extra bonus, I could change the color, so went with green for my deadwood green paint.
Had the dealer install the DD on my bike. Since it was such a nice day (temps outside was 60*), I went to town and picked up my ride. I must say I'm impressed. For my eyes, the gauges are definitely easier to read even in direct sunlight. Love all the different info that is available for display or be scrolled through. Once the bike was back in the garage, I set the four message locations to display all the info that I wanted. The two small gauge spots now show oil temp on left side and volts on the right side. Have not changed any colors yet - will play around with that later. Very glad I dumped the oil smeared OEM gauges to these. Should have done it sooner.

If you haven't done so, be sure you download and install the DD app on your phone. Congrats!
As far as digital goes, I like the Koso gauges, been thinking of getting one for my Softail. They do make a set for touring though depending on the year and fill up the available space much better than Dakota IMO. Also has the 24 hr format!
Ya know........ the more I look at these, the more I like them! Thanks for posting this @ThePaintPirate ! I may be spending some tax refund$$$ on these soon..........

Off-topic, but what mounting system are you using for your GPS/Tuner? I'm looking to get the phone off the bars and down behind the fairing. Looks like all that flat space on the fake compartment would be a good place to stick something. Thx!

I just use your regular RAM mount components for my PowerVision.
One thing not to miss about the Dakota gauges is they have a matte or anti-glare coating/finish to them. Go back up in this thread and notice the stock gauges which are quite clear but also quite reflective. The matte screen on the DDs definitely enhances their readability.
