Reflector still good no heat distortation/melting etc. Hoping the cam cover holds up well, will have to check that with the mirror soon.

When the heat shields are back on you can hardly notice the wrap. I know it stops the heat damage to the reflector and hopefuly keeps the new cam cover from simmering until done.

of course riding style determines tire life...absolutely not what I was saying and the reason why I stated my riding style. You musta missed all those finer details. Apples to apples in riding style and an 09 up touring bike will get nearly 70 percent more miles out of the tires. There's tons of threads and other information available on the topic...no need to believe me or even listen to me. And yes I have personally witnessed this tire wear difference between myself and a bunch of people I ride with...but I highly recommend that anyone should do their own research...its is the internet after all. Thanks for tuning in

That reflector was a shipping oops!!. haha, but its been fixed already. I have had it out riding a bit, just alot of local runs here and there, What I find is it took me a few trips to get the feel for the bike, made a few minor adjustments, and trying to ride it as often as the weather here allows. I find it runs very well, I don't believe it was ran much the past year or so before I got it. Tire pressure was pretty low in both front and rear, like 15 psi. Aired up and they seem to be holding so I assume it was just a storage issue. One thing I am getting used to is the TC engine noise. That C50 Suzuki had a little, my wifes Sporty has it but I rarely ride that, when I do I notice it, this RK has it. I describe it less of a tick and more of a light chatter, its equal in front and back and clearly right in the rocker zone as described in every Harley engine noise thread ever written. Pipes are far from obnoxiously loud, if this RK was as loud as my wifes Sporty I wouldn't hear any noise..then again I wouldn't hear anything. I do know that it currently has Amsoil in it both engine and gear oil, so if anyone has a recommended oil better than Amsoil let me know, seems Redline gets alot of love.

amsoil is a premium oil. i wont say its better than anything else, but the member price is about the same as buying hd, shipping is free above a certain point, and when i put an order in, its at my door the next day, thats the part i like. i think about changing oil and its at my door.

I get 5 quarts mobil one dyn for truck $30. I haven't seen any gallon deals for bikes.

HD vs amsoil doesn't matter to me. Which ever cheaper. I went with hd cause I can buy on road. Though maybe mixing isn't as bad as we once worried.

Getting shipped to house is something to think about

You can join the Amsoil cult, and get price discounts on their stuff...

Cult is my term, not theirs.. I think they call it a membership...

I see, yes, amsoil preferred customer for 20.00 a year, considering the head office is only a few hours away from me its widely available around here. In fact I remember when they were the new kid on the block, I agree its a premium product and if you can get it for a reasonable price its well worth it. For the weekend warrior like myself I may look into it as I also have a sporty, and 4 snowmobiles.

the hd kit is 91$ and the amsoil kit is 86$. after the preferred discount i paid just under 70. thats the same as the hd kit, 4 qts and a filter. i added gear oil and primary oil for a total of like 115 and got the free shipping. ive been using their oil since 2020, so prior to that i would have just gone to the dealer and picked up my box of stuff. 20$ isnt going to break me, but, if im at work going on days off i can order it while im still at work at the end of hitch, and itll usually beat me to the house. i like it for the convenience factor. as far as im concerned, oil is oil, but its nice going home and its on the doorstep.

I have never bought a kit. I always figure they are charging you to make a kit. Just buy bunch of oil and filter. I keep orings on hand. But don't change them.
