screwed up chrome help

The chrome plating is shiny and scratch free when it is removed from the bath. The only buffing step is early on, typically if a copper layer is used before the chrome. The benefit of chrome is that it is shiny on all of the contours. Do you really think it is possible to polish a chrome surface with all of the contours?

Once decorative chrome is scratched / blemished it's permanent.

The best advice, if it really bothers the OP, is to replace that part......and lesson learned. Ride on!

Regardless of the suggestions on what you can try, chrome is a hard finish so scratches are permanent.
