Fangs, dog dish, DK wings and knees closed did nothing for me. Went through a BUNCH of shields in diff heights. Just received a Clearview shield and went for a long ride this weekend. It's made the most difference. It's designed to lay back more towards you. All the others get very steep and the flip is almost vertical. I think those create turbulence.

With the more laid back screen the wind was def much smoother. Feel and sounds. Was also more stable at high speed. That was a great surprise.

Top is a Long Ride with flare. See how it's vertical at the top? Bike felt like a brick at high speeds.

Below is the Clearview. It's about 1" shorter but was def smoother at all speeds. Another benefit was more air flowing into my full face helmets top air scoop.

(FYI....the LRS is a quality shield. Not trying to diss another co.)

What size Clear view is that? I have a medium on mine now, but I think I need a large or even an XL. The bike is very smooth at higher speeds, but I never thought to attribute any of that smoothness to the windshield. I was out on a lonely stretch of interstate yesterday and opened it up. I won't say exactly how fast I got going, but I was over 4000 RPM in 6th. Not even a little wiggle or wobble.

Just talked about this on another forum. Seems (to me) folks have spent alotta time and thrown alotta money on this problem. While others have had no issues. Same bikes, same shields. The only thing that changed is the rider. It's not the bike. Or the shield. Well maybe the shield. Get a taller one. A much taller one. If that doesn't help. Maybe it's you. Not trying to be funny but everyone's built different. Maybe you're just more sensitive to the pressure. Nothing much can change that. Some kind of exercise to strengthen your neck muscles? I don't know.
I've been riding for 50 years or so. Didn't have a windshield for a lot of that. Older riders I've talked to about buffeting either had no idea what that is or said the just got a taller shield to fix it. Many said, you're on a motorcycle. What did you expect?
I'm not trying to make light of this. I'm saying maybe there's another track to take to solve it. Not just throw parts at it. It's interesting to me that it only effects some folks.

2013 Ultra. I went with the JES fangs in black so they blend in with my bike. IMO they make a big difference. I still get 43 MPG so they aren’t effecting drag at all. Also have a 6.5 in shield.

Medium. I'm 6' and it's a good summer height for me.

2005 Electra Glide- I’ve been trying to get the buffeting under control for a while. Currently I have some aftermarket fangs and a Madstad shield. The Madstad made a huge difference given its adjustability and reduction of the vacuum behind the fairing.
Might try some hard lowers and see if I can delete the fangs.

I went and looked at their systems. Motor option seems okay. The Madstad can manually adjust windshield angles as well as up and down. Other than that, the systems operate on the same principles.
