Default 16' Ape install question

I am going to install a set of 16" apes on my 02 Road King. I want to know if anyone could tell me what size or oversize clutch, throttle, & brake cables I need.

Papa Travis should be on soon (he's normally on every nite) - I think he has 16" on his RKS???

I'd recommend at least +10" cables, I prefer +12"

Use a piece of weed eater string to trace down the route you intend for the cables to run then measure the string. It makes a difference if you intend to route the cables along the bars & frameor ifthey just hang free and run directly to the carb & clutch. On your clutch length, allow for an additional 1 inch because the cable will grow when you adjust the slack out.

You really need to measure with the bars set in place. It's hard to get it right otherwise. 2cents.

LOL, yes, I am usually on every night. Last night, being the exception. I actually have 18" bars, and used +10 cables, and it works well. Have read that others use the +6 or +8, with 16" bars. Up to you. I know with my set up, +10 is where I want it. Could have gone +8, looking back on it, but I know I wont have any binding issues with what I have, and it looks good to me.
