My Fob went dead yesterday. Have one working Fob, but my question is can you program a new Fob as long as you have one working one ?
Or does it have to go to the dealer ? How much to get 2 Fobs working again. I absolutely hate going to the dealer for anything. Would like to do this myself. Oh , 15 tri-glide.
Tried multiple new batteries and it's a no go.

It's remarkable how many people will post here about a bad fob and it turns out they had the battery in upside down. I'm sure you wouldn't do that though.
Even more interesting that someone gets answers and no one knows year.
Just had a thread on this. However, on the first generation TC with the push button FOB, as long as you have a service manual (instructions are a few pages long ) and alarm is not set, or you know the code to unlock it, a TSSM can be taught to accept a new FOB.
May even be in owners manual but I didn't bother to look.
if, after checking that the battery is in rightside up, and trying another new battery (they have been know to be bad right out of the package), you decide to go to the dealer and get a new fob, it is imperitive that you have your working fob with you. there can only be a max of 2 fobs programmed to each bike, and when programming a new fob, they have to be done in pairs. at least that's what the owner's manual/service manual tell you.

Can't we program fobs with our TR tool? I seem to remember seeing that last time I was hooked up.
