i did wash it before i out it into the shed. the shed is not water tight however it does not leak on the bike. i do believe there was water around the screen which caused the spidering thiis is an issue for harley becuse the water should not build up.
yeah, i don't see blaming harley for your not using a towel to dry off standing water. is there an issue because water puddles in your seat too?

So UPDATE everyone. I am not to proud to admit when I am wrong. After seeing the post about the 1.4 bar being 20 psi I decided to hunt down the CVO owners manual and see if what the dealer ship told me was correct.
So the manual says the following.
Checking Coolant Level
NOTE
Check coolant level with engine cold and motorcycle on level ground.
NOTE
Use a light source from opposite side of reservoir to view coolant level.
NOTE
Do not remove the reservoir pressure cap (2).
If the coolant reservoir is empty when the engine is cold, inspect the system for leaks. Repair as needed. Fill system with coolant and perform bleed procedure. See a Harley-Davidson dealer for service.
See Figure 1. Check that coolant level in reservoir is between the coolant maximum level mark (1) and the coolant cold level mark (3).
Then it says.
If level is below coolant cold level mark (3) line on tank, add GENUINE HARLEY-DAVIDSON EXTENDED LIFE ANTIFREEZE AND COOLANT until fluid level reaches, or is slightly above the "COLD" line.
Then it gives instructions on adding coolant. So does that mean if it is low you can add coolant and be good to go? Or does it mean you need to take it into the dealer for service.
That brass peace in the center of the cap is where they pressurize the system after the cap is on. That's what my dealer told me. When I was looking at it.
I hope you're just really, really high. Otherwise, you're just really full of $hite.

Well I am not full of sheet as you say. I went back to my local dealership yesterday to look at the 2024's. I asked both the sales manager and the lead tech and they both said "DO NOT TAKE THE CAP OFF. There is a sight glass to check fluid level. The only time you would need to add fluid is if the res is empty and then you have to bring it back in." I also posted the direct instructions from the owners manual. So rather being a troll and or douche bag, how about you just move on to other topics that you feel more comfortable with. And good job posting pictures of car radiator caps. I'm sure those pertain to a motorcycle conversation.
