I've been more than pleased as has the wife when we hit a bad bump.
The rest of the time it rides way better than stock and handling was also much improved,Fuel Moto was great to work with.
Great! Happy for you but a point that needs to be brought to light here is that pretty much anything is going to ride way better as in unbelievably better than stock.

Did fuel moto go with progressive rate springs for you for those times you're just riding one-up?

I'm also about an hour and a half riding distance from Ohlins, so I can take them there for any service or rebuild.

I searched, read, asked and decided on SuperShox. I just cannot get over the look of those beer cans hanging over my rear fender. To each their own.

Dennis Kirk may have them. Ohlins has a calculator on their website to help you get them set up.

I've put tens of thousands of miles separately on a handful of high-end shocks. Ohlins, Legend, ProAction, Super Shox, etc. I've found that when setup correctly, all of them perform great and there isn't a massive difference between them. I think some people like to cheerlead and swing from the nuts of whatever company they use because their choice becomes validated if someone else runs out and buys it, too. And to be realistic, most riders do not push their bikes to the limits where the difference can be felt, or is even needed based on their riding style. The whole performance scene is mostly folks who do it for the aesthetic.

With that said, ProAction has been my favorite set of the companies mentioned. I have Super Shox currently but when it's time for a new set, I'll be going back to ProAction.

It does affect it a little bit, but you'd probably expect as much from slightly raising the rear. You get a tiny bit more cornering clearance and the front rake angle changes a tiny bit. Weight is shifted forward a tiny bit, compressing the front suspension a little bit. Overall, it improves handling accordingly: a tiny bit. The big win is your spine is going to be much happier!

I am not unhappy with the Fox I have on the rear now, but I'm interested in what all the hype is about with Ohlins. I won't know the difference unless I try them. I'll bet you $1600 they're not much better that what I already have.

Agreed, with my 13" Ohlins (the ones the OP asked about) I noticed very little increase, maybe a half inch. Maybe

As for any handling differences, there were only improvements, and now that I have the cartridges up front, and my TrueTracks, that thing is on rails.
