They really should be offering a 20% discount, or the option to redo it to a professional level AT NO ADDITIONAL COST (including shipping).
I'll never buy a new seat from them after seeing this.
For the money I'd expect better. But it sounds like they're willing to make it right, so good on them.
My Mustang seat was immaculately built. Expensive as hell but nothing is more important than assal comfort.
i guess my idea of making it right would be fixing it immediately instead of going to the back of the line. Even with the manager having it done in about 10 days, thats still 3-4 weeks with shipping times.
If mine didn't look exactly like this when I got it, I would have sent it back, and yes, I agree 100% on letting your credit card company, or paypal(I don't recall if they accept that or not), whatever you used, know about this and help you fight it.
Its funny and sad when I spoke to a manager at Corbin, instead of figuring out a way to immediately fix it, he said that other manufacturers are also having this problem. He was eager to email me a picture of a brand new HD sitting in the showroom with a seat issue. I told him if my seat looked that good, I wouldnt be complaining. LOL

The manager you spoke with makes it sound like Corbin doesn't control their own manufacturing process. Why should you care what Harley seats look like?

Reason: OBE
Corbin, ( and it pains me to say it, its actually an old family name ) sounds like a dick. Completely unacceptable for a premium seat manufacturer.
The whole 20% restock for a inferior QC fail is just icing, they should not only take it back, but interrupt their own backlog to fix a mistake and give you 20% back or even a credit that you may never use.
But I bet you would be happy if they did it that way.
The guy that did my interior, on the hot rod noticed my bottom seat to to vertical back seat was off like a mm, and offered to fix it. I didnt even see it honestly, but I was like nah it a hot rod I have to pull it occasionally so it just might be on me anyway but wow thats custom service, and I bet my whole interior was cheaper then that Corbin seat.
For years I automatically ordered Corbin seats for my new bikes. After the last Corbin seat fit fiasco and the way they handled it (or didn't) . . never again.
I am amazed they are still in business. If memory serves I had to send it back three times and yeah I got the "we don't have a bike to test it on at this time" line too. Definitely not the Corbin of old.
