Damn!
That tank strap is really off! 😂

Am I expecting too much since this is a hand-made cover, or would it bother you too?

Talk to your sales rep, send pictures send back and they will fix it. Quality issue not acceptable on $800 seat they fixed mine no problem in the past

The entire right side of the pleat is pulled showing the stitching and even when "fixed", I highly doubt that seat would have a long life. Dispute it with the CC company, send it back, and send them a link to this thread. Hopefully they will either retrain a few of their people including their customer service representative, or they will go the way of many other businesses that quit caring about their customers.

Same quality issues with Corbin that I have been hearing for 30 years. I have had a couple of Corbin seats that I bought from the Daytona store. I bought the seat from them mostly for the new seat pan as my old one was cracking. That seat did ride well. It was a returned seat that worked for me.

Had several folks in Jacksonville Florida that wanted to burn the place down after the dad left the business. Then the two sons were battling over control and separated/split the business somehow. Customer service went in the toilet after that.

Because the gas tank is new style? Not saying that is an excuse

Or because you can't get good help and take whatever you can get? Some of that manufacturing I work with, I have to wonder if this is it. If they were better, they would be working elsewhere.

That was the missing link for me. I was wondering what happened with Corbin quality and you provided the answer. Sucks when such a reputable business take a nose dive.

I like idea of sending Corbin link to this discussion as OP has a right to get the seat done correctly and Corbin needs to know we are watching as it doesn't take long to consumer to turn back on the brand that doesn't care. Many businesses owned by second and third generation owners will often ruin the business as they grow entitle to $$$$ but don't know how to run business.

I have seen that too many times. I have seen a businesses churning millions of dollars go bankrupt in 3 years after the dad died.

I am amazed they are still in business. If memory serves I had to send it back three times and yeah I got the "we don't have a bike to test it on at this time" line too.
Definitely not the Corbin of old.

I always wanted to get a Corbin seat. They were considered one of THE seats way back when.... But I was young, and I couldn't afford a Corbin.

Then about 2015ish, I was looking for the perfect "Holy Grail" seat for my bagger. Corbin was on my short list, but there were growing reports about Corbin's substandard customer service, especially from their East Coast shop. Their ride-in service was still given high ratings at their Hollister Location.

Since I wasn't going to do a road trip to get the seat done while-I-wait in Hollister, I grudgingly decided to pass on Corbin.

It seems that Corbin's substandard customer service has gotten even worse.....

Too bad, they used to be somebody...

I'd like to hear Corbin's explanation on how a seat that is clearly substandard got shipped to a customer. Is there no quality control in place?
