I'm looking for a good GPS unit that I can mount (handlebar?) on my '07 Ultra and also plug into my car for traveling. I'm reading that the Garmin is good but does anyone know which model?
I have the 2720.
I use it in my truck as well as on the bike. My car has a factory unit.Garmin makes the best units with great maps and support withWebb site updates and down loads.

price wise , the Garmin 2720 is hard to beat. I was going to sell mine and get a newest, but really, the 2720 does all I can ask of her....preloaded with all the maps, can use your PC to plan route etc.....custom POI capable.....
For ease of use and functionality for both a car and bike, the Zumo 550 is an excellentchoice. I had a Quest and used it in both the car and bike--until the Zumo came along. The larger screen and touch screen ability, along with the US maps already pre-loaded won me over. Plus it is made for a motorcycle and mounts easily. I let the wife take the Quest for her trips in her car now. The Zumo is a sweet device.
