Default Check Engine Light on

Hey all. Was recently on a trip to New England and Ontario/Quebec. Somewhere in Upstate New York my Check Engine light came on and after a while it went off (2012 FLHTK). After a few miles it came on again, then went off again. We pulled over and I went into Diag mode on the odometer, and it threw one code (P0113). Supposedly this code was for a TMap sensor. After getting back to Canada we stopped at a HD dealer in Niagara (props to Carole and Clares HD for getting me in on short notice). The tech told me that it probably was the TMap sensor but there were zero indications otherwise. They didnt have a sensor in stock and said that I could probably ride it if it didnt get worse. The bike was running perfectly, not running rough, good oil pressure, good charging, just the light and the code.
When I got home to Halifax I took it to my local dealer who went over it and came up with the same conclusion (P0113) and a TMap sensor. He said I could still use the bike and they would look after the issue once I put it into winter storage. They would order the sensor and rewire the connectors also......
Whats confusing to me is that if it IS the TMap sensor thats gone, the bike should be running rough, as though the ECU couldnt decide what Fuel/Air mix to send to the throttle body. So I am confused as to what the real issue is due to the fact that the bike ran like a charm ever since the light came on. By the way, the light is pretty much on full time now, and when I go into Diag mode, it only shows one code (P0113).
Any thoughts?

I don't think it's dangerous to ride or anything like that. If the ECU is dealing with it okay and controlling the mix okay, I guess just keep on truckin'. Sounds like the local dealer has a pretty good plan for it.

I can't remember if that code is the same one for the temp sensor that screws into the side of the engine or not. When that sensor went bad on my Road Glide, the engine would just stall out.

Take off the air cleaner and inspect all the plugs and inspect them for bent pins, recessed pins and corroded pins. Also look for the air temp sensor #9 and inspect it and clean if needed. While you are there you may want to inspect the purge tube cap #11, not related to your issue but rubber tends to dry rot.

IAT sensor high/open TMAP SENSOR DIAGNOSTICS
It's not the map sensor. It's part of the throttle body diagnostics. This is the air inlet temp. The sensor resides just inside the throttle blade. You could try spraying intake cleaner into the intake to wash the sucker off.
