Default RE: CORBIN PRODUCTS...

poor fitting seems to be the standard.example their dual touring seat. the round rubber pads agaisnt the frame were too far out and pushed my side covers out on the front and caused the side cover to rub against the saddle bags. rubbed through the paint on both. didn't realize the problem and took the bike to the dealer who couldn't figure out why the side covers weren't staying seated. the H-D dealer set about to order me a new saddle bag and cover. aday later at home I finaly relized it was the Corbin seat.I trimmedoff some of the rubber pads and problem solved. called the dealer back and told'em to cancel the order, and advisedthe defect was owner caused. (more acurately, Corbin caused.) I didn't evan bother call Corbin about it. all that would do is cause my blood preasure to rise.

more fit issues, the tour pack backrest holes don't exactly match the corbin seats bolt holes. should have seen the Ormond Beach guys wrestling with it during the install. when all done and still today, the Corbin rest distorts the shape of the tour pack lid. you can never just lower and latch the lid. I must always twist a pull a bit to get the lid to close and latch. besides that the Corbin back rest doesn't cover the same area as the OEM. It is a bit smaller. the result is if you had the OEM on for more than a few days, when you install the Corbin, you will have exposed scuffed paint from where the OEM sat.

did I mention Itried a standardCorbin dual touring saddleat their Ormond beach store and found it to be too wide in the nose, causing a ground reach problem. So I special ordered aseat for extended reach. When it arrived at the homestead, it was worse than the one I tried in the store. dealt with it for two months waiting for their seat guru to come to Ormond Beach during bike week.

all of the above is in addition to the 30 day "turn around" (July 29 to August 29)for them to recover the backrest because the base pan was cutting through the leading edge of the arm rest. And I drove down their and dropped it off.

would I ever buy Corbin again? no way, no how, no chnace.
