Intercom headset question
I just attached my headset to my helmet and am a little disappointed in the cord that goes to the tank panel. Mine is too short. Also the cord is on top of the helmet and the microphone is on the bottom. Is this right? Can someone suggest a much better system that is out there that will let me move my head freely because the cord restricts my head movement.
Thanks

I just ordered the blueant interphone blue tooth units from ebay. Looked at modding my SG to accept intercom but turned out to be big bucks. For $200 plus shipping got the wirelss units that are getting good write ups. Hoping to have them on hand for this Saturday as I am riding down to Key west and back (400+ miles) and will post a review if you want.
PS $200 is for 2 new units, others are selling them for $180 each so shop around. Also Blueant offer a charger that runs from a cigar lighter so I can recharge them on the go!
Cheers

The helment mount connects to the bottom of the helment. If you are using a 1/2 helment it can be kinda akward. If you strech the cord and leave it for a day or 2 when not riding it will give a little more movement.
I have mine on a half helment and starting to getting use to it hang down. the cord with stretch because of the cord is coiled. The sound is much better with the speakers are close to the ear and I can use a lot less volume with a cleaner sound. Even with my loud pipes. If you need a photo let me know.

Try the J&m headsets. I bought afull faceNolan helmet with the built in J&M setup. I don't wear a helmet all the time butit is real nice for touring.
