I have ark classic, and 07 road glide, i never thought I would like anything else until I got the glide. the classic is greatwhen the nostalgic mood hits but there is no comparision to the smooth ride and music a glide brings.

picked up some ads from the october issue of thunder press, setting them aside for further research:

www.deadcentercycles.com
www.premiermotoring.com
www.firebagger.com
www.dragonflycycleconcepts.com
www.hoppeindustries.com

Hey skratch, I was looking through those links. The www.firebagger.com does not pull up anything. And the premiermotoring one has fairings, but only 94-01 rk, and no radio (probably not even a inner shell), so it would not work with our bikes. As for the others, they all seem pretty similar. I know the dead center ones lock to the bike, which would be nice. If I were to go with a fairing, price would be the concern for me. They all are pricey. And hoppe has an okay fairing, but ranks third with me, but I like this other product, Cruz Covers. Don't forget to take into account for paint.

And yes, I guess we rk custom guys are a little bit touchy. LOL [:@]

yeah, i hadn't had a chance to check them all out. don't know about firebagger, never heard of em before. double checked the ad, everything is correct. couldn't even find them on google. guess that would be a good one to stay away from. i noticed a couple of them looked pretty cheesy, no room for a radio, just something to block the wind. i think i'm leaning towards the dead center myself, their finishing seems to be higher quality and they make a big point of being able to match the stock hd colors, the others barely mention it, refering mostly to how you can have it painted to match..... i'd rather buy it already painted.

There is no comparison to the difference in comfort and overall enjoyment. I rented a RG for a week and wished I had bought one the first go around when I bought my King. The only weird thing to get used to is not seeing the ground through the windshield and the fairing always pointing in the same direction. Won't take long to get used to it.

Other than going from the best looking Harley to the homeliest Harley, there won't be that much difference.
Now that's funny!

Firebagger site is now accessable, nice fairing, reasonable price.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Good news
No address, phone#, and they don't seem to aswer email requests......................Bad news

There are some fairings on EBAY. Fiberglass with no stereo provisions, or with a 4 hole inner but no tunes, also reasonably (by after, market fairing standards) priced. Then there are the plastic ones by garagefather and others.

So DCC lockable with 2 6.5 speakers,
Dragonfly - No lock 6x9 speakers
Hoppe 4x 5" speakers or the sport with 6" and seperate tweeters but a smaller fairing.
and also a southern company that makes a stereo for your windshield.

RGs are ugly, slow, leak oil, and break down all the time.
Dont do it

Love my RG. Can't see how ugly it is while I'm riding it. This bike is a dream on the highway OR on the twisties. I just plain LOVE riding this thing. Don't take my word for it, spend a few bucks to rent one then you can find out for yourself.
