On my 04 FLHTC and 07 Ultra I've had the sheepskin seat cover. In the event of rain, I need to remove it or ride wet. The removable seat hardware from MoCo is about $15 but doesn't have the finish shown above. On a Classic or Ultra, you can't see it anyway.
BTW, the shields are a great addition to slow down the inner thigh fry.
that strap may prevent someone from stealing your seat!! if i have to absolutely get under the seat, i have a sharp knife.
You know I never thought about that... God, I hope that if someone was taking a seat off a bike and walking away with it someone would say something to him. Although probably not.
Motown-Hog, don't know if you saw my recent post. I had both of my hard saddlebags ripped off. This was in a Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, probably one of the more famous places around. (for those that don't know it's a throw back to the 50's with a car hop type atmosphere, and they have vintage car nights and the like, the lot is ususally full).
You would think somebody would see someone walking off with a pair of those saddlebags wouldn't ya?
And since i added the speed screw for the seat I'm leaving the strap to hopefully slow them down for a second longer. Ya i know they could easily just cut the strap off.
The one screw holding the seat was lose on my bike. I think I will keep the strap on since thats the only thing holding the seat if the screw falls out.
